I would like to say THANKS to all of the people who have posted on this forum. I removed the training gear from my T-Rex 450 SE tonight and gave it a try. The tail started wagging like crazy. I noticed it waged a little with the gear on but when it was off it was almost unflyable. I looked over the helicopter for and obvious problems then went to the T-Rex 450 forum and searched for tail wag. I found many discussions and read thru them. When I set up the radio I did not remember setting the gain of the gyro so I started there. I further read the manual from the DX6 and found that I had the gain set at 100%. I dropped the gain down to 70% and the tail wag is gone. Now the helicopter flies better than it did before.

Thanks Again

Hey Rogerl,
I totally agree with you. This place has helped me out every step of the way. The people around here are the best the hobby has to offer. You can find anything from how to poop at work to how to set up a turbine heli.

However, I made a big mistake by only using the site to get the info I needed at the time. I should have reported back on how this info helped out. It is now your responsibility to let us know what worked out for you and what did not and why.

Safety is a big part of what this site is about. Having fun is a lot easier if you don't have a main blade stuck in your head. So even though this is supposed to be fun it also comes at a risk to you and others around you.

If you make a mistake and don't tell us about it then someone else will make the same one. It may be hard on the pride but if we all learn from one another's mistakes we will all have a better time of it and minimize the risks. So keep reading and searching around the site and you will be good to go.

Before doing something you are not sure of get on here and ask first, even before you buy. Believe me when I tell you that this will save you time and money. You came to the right place and sound like a great match for the hobby.

Happy flying and be safe.

Right on Roger!

Got to agree with ya champ. I've been checking this site out as much as possible, and honestly the wealth of info and the generosity of these experienced flyers, aswell as the novices is unreal hey! Its almost like a big happy hovering family. Sort of makes me feel guilty as a newcomer-accessing all this info without being able to contribute much, but im sure i speak on behalf of all when i say a big cheers to all on this site, aswell as runryder for providing such a site for all of us to enjoy and benifit from. And good on'ya roger for bringin it up!
Cheers,
Tone.

In my opinion, they should advertise this site on the box of every heli sold. People would learn alot faster, instead of getting frustrated and quitting the hobby.Like flying a CP without a gyro or buying a CP in the first place.Im not bashing CP owners because I think alot of people start on Blade helis. In other words, Great Forum!
