Hi for some reason today when the heli is about to hover the heli likes to hop up and down and I can see the gyro red light flashing off and on while its doing it. It's like its twitching or something and I checked all the connections and batteries.

How much + pitch do you have?
Where is the Throttle Trim set at ?
Stock Bird ? Wood Blades ? Bent M.shaft ?
Bent Spindle ? Balanced Blades ? Balanced
Bird (CG)? The red light means, That's all
the power you have.

The red light (full throttle indicator) going on and off is probably normal.

You likely have a bent spindle - go here

Just spin it up without the head assy on and mark the high spot with a felt pen slide something over the spindle that fits close and give it a little push. repeat until it is running true slide the head back on and fly.I've still got the original main shaft in after nine months of flying.
