I could use some help about picking an exhaust and what performance characteristics to look for. I see people like Len and Scott using Zimmerman pipes, I've heard of people using Hatori 994's and 995's (Gordie, do you still use a 994/995?), and I've also seen people use K&S and Fun-Tech pipes.
The problem I'm having is this: What makes different exhausts more suited for F3C use? For example, what makes a Hatori 995 a better choice for F3C than a Hatori SB-17? Not much is avialable on Hatori's Japanese website, and Rich Sabin doesn't have a Hatori US site with any good explanations either. If you want a Hatori, there's about 23 dozen models to choose from, and it's almost like you're left guessing which one you should use.
I only know of one guy in the U.S. flying Zimmerman's, and that's Len. I once bought a Zimmerman for an older 60 and LOVED the workmanship on it, but ended up selling the whole machine before I ever got to use the pipe.
Soooo... I could use some recommendations for a pipe to go with my non-pumped C-Spec. The exhaust I'm currently using is a tinny-sounding, obnoxiously loud coffee can which makes me feel like I'm chasing needle setings all the time, while being aurally assaulted by a sound similar to a handful of bolts in my wife's blender, set to Liquefy.
