hi, i am planning winter project and researching things before i buy. i wanted to double check a few things with the scale experts before i plunk down the cash.

i want to do an electric Airwolf 50 with a semi-scale cockpit. the Hawk Pro seems to be the best mechanics and was told that the CCPM conversion was a good way to go to get the necessary room up front for a cockpit. then i was told by several others that the CCPM conversion will NOT work. i even contacted Century and couldn't get a definitive answer as to whether the Hawk Pro CCPM will fit. i was told that the Raven CCPM was a NO GO for sure.

then others told me to modify the stock side frames to put the servos in different locations to give me the room i need up front. this is what i am willing to attempt unless someone else has another way.

any help, opinions, suggestions are welcome. i haven't bought anything yet so if there is another mechanics that will work and meet my needs then please chime in.

thanks,
darren

the stock ccpm setup makes the servos stick out too far but it can be done if you mount the servos to the frames without using the brackets. i have done this a few times with hawk mechs.

drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft
