Can someone confirm that 550mm blades fit on a Logo 500 without problem, I was going to run 500mm Maniacs, but if 550mm blades fit I will use them instead

thanks

Swifty

Absolutely they do. Run 550TTs on my one and on the other I run 550mm Rotortechs, Also running 92mm tr Radix tails with no issues. If you do want to run 550s I suggest running the extra hard dampers as that will support the load better on the head and be abit crisper, the extra hard dampers are part #3092, cheers.

I'm using 550mm Maniacs on my 5003d with the stock tail blades, they work awesome. I also emailed Vic at V-blades and they are working on the 550mm blade right now, should be available within a few weeks he's hoping.\

I'm flying the 550's with stock dampers right now, although I bought the hard dampers. I will have to put those in sometime, but first I think I'll wait for the stock ones to wear out .

Mini-dub, are you running the mod .5 or .7 gears on your Logo? I want to make the switch to 550mm blades but I am a little nervous to use the mod .5 gears.

Sorry for the delayed response . I'm using .5mod gears with no problems. You just have to figure out how to set the gear mesh. What I do is get it tight enough to the point where there is only a tiny tiny tic of backlash in one spot on the gear. The gear is very round, but nothings perfect. So that spot with the little amount of play is the low spot, without rotating the main gear I move the motor closer and closer until that last bit of play is gone.

It helps to have the motor pretty tight so you don't move it too far or too fast. I have it tight enough that I can't even feel or see the movement.

If you're running a lower quality chinese motor like a Z-Power motor or something without a super hard shaft you will want .7mod gears. The .5mod is fine with a super hard shaft (such as Mega's shafts) and metal motor mount.

Well I am running the Z-Power so I will wait for the mod .7 gears. I basically set my mesh just like you do BUT if the shaft flexes then there is really no point anyway. I will wait to try out my 550mm blades.

Thats good to hear you're not having problems with the Z-power motor and .5mod gears. I've just heard of many people having issues with that, but I think proper setup and the metal motor mount can solve most of the problems. But a super hard motor shaft does help a lot.

The Rotortech 560s made a huge difference over the 550s. Back to back flights on the Logo 500 and didnt lose any flight time.

Hmm, I might have to try those. 2 questions, where can you buy them and what flight times are you getting? I just dont like the yellow tips . Are you using those with stock tail blades and boom? Or did you have to stretch it?

Stock boom, I am running 560RT on mine right now all stock, zero issues. Pivotal Hobbies has some in stock right now. BTW I am also running a 1110 Zpower at moment, no collar and no issues.
