thanks. boy that puts me in a bind. my OS61wx puked this week. i was going to get replacement parts to rebuild it, but can't get the parts. so i thought i would go to YS but guess its the same there. i don't want a 80 or 90 size due to the fuel consumpsion. i don't know what i will do now.

Not.

The engine is in stock at Rick's and is on the YS Parts and Service website.

Sure it's not old stock? I can't think of anyone buying one in years . . . note that the link for the .61 just goes to parts, which does not imply it's currently in production . . .

According to YS Parts and Service the 61 is still a viable option. Check their website yspartsandservice.com

I did . . . YSPartsAndService is primarily a parts web page - what makes you thing that the 61's listing there implies anything more than parts availability? They don't sell engines from that web site . . .

They are the US importer for YS and the service center. They sell the engines to distributors not the public.

If it is on the home page it is still available. You can always call and ask if any of the distributors received any lately or if there are anymore coming from Japan.

Please post the reply, but be aware that Richard is sometimes pokey on email.

Not everyone wants, buys, or can afford (feed it) a 90, and MA, TT, and Hirobo have models which still mount this class of engine. OS still sells the 70, and the STII will run right there with the 70. There is still a viable market here.
