Hey Rock

I see that you are using the preasure port from the back of the YS.

Is that really better than using the muffler port?

Hell... I can fix that.
Uh oh..
Nope.

Yes.

That's what it is designed for. Engine runs more consistant. Also doesn't eat up fuel magnets.

Rock,

Thats a great looking bird. The landing skid needs a little color too,
then she would be bad asss.

Thanks. I wish the stickers did better.

Landing skids do great with dye. Which color do you recommend?

I agree the dye works great. I would match the skid colors with the lower section of you canopy or match the tail boom if it is not black.
I wish the stickers did better.
Yeah they are tough (at best) to do.

Put the stickers on first then the clear. That way it gives the impression that the stickers are part of the paint.
I did add the clear after the stickers.........

Is that an align fiberglass canopy?? I've thought about buying the white one and trying my hand at painting but it appears to have a gel coat on it already, did you just sand your down?

Yup and Yup. I just sanded it with 400 and painted over it. Fiberglass is soooooooooo much easier to paint than the plastic canopies!

To get those sharp edges around the stickers to be less obvious you have to let your first application of clear coats dry completely, wet sand the entire canopy with say 600 grit being careful not to sand through the clear, then apply additonal clear coats as before. Just be careful when sanding on and around the edges of the stickers because the clear is going to get really thin really quick when sanding an edge.
