Just got my 600N standard. My model is delivered with carbon frames and tail fins. Is this normal?

The 3D Pro has G10 frames that are silver in color.

Personally I prefer the G-10. This G-10 frame is very good looking, and G-10 does not conduct electricity and does not contribute to glitches like carbon fiber does.

That's why they use it for motherboards in computers.

You just stumbled on to something rock, we need trace servo leads!, lol that would be killer if your servo leads ran in the g10 like a trace in a motherbord. No more cable management.

That is an intriguing idea. Plug your servo into your frame and then plug your frame into your Rx.

I just put the new Align 2 mm carbon frames on my pro. They are definetely thicker than the stock 1.6 mm but they still do not fill stiff enough. Guess I'll wait in the Align 2.5 mm.

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

Stiff enough

trex600crasher:
Thicker would help them be a little stiffer however a better laminating resin would very much increase there rigidity even in the 1.6mm size. The Align frame sides are laminated with a relatively cheap and fast curing resin, very old school resin, if the frames were made with Epoxy resin like DER 324 resin and EZ84 hardener they would be a hell of a lot stiffer and much stronger! Its common knowledge in the composite industry that fiber cloth is only as strong as the resin used and vise versa....Jim
