Nice canopy Dave. I think the scheme color decals of the cal4 over yellow seems a lot better than the Cal 5 decals.

When I get it clear coated and the stuff hardens, I'll put the canopy on the heli and post some final assembly pics. I was afraid at first that the green wouldn't work well with my trade mark Rustoleum yellow finish, but after looking at the final product, works quite well. The green fades to orange and that blends well into the yellow background.

Good news -- It's DONE! I had it out for some pics at the flying site today (didn't fly it as the clear coat was still just a hair uncured). I'll post pics in the next day or so. Looks sharp, and I think it should fly great. The Caliber 4 is one nice looking 30 sized heli. No more ugly duckling.

Next chance to fly will most likely be next weekend.

Bad news -- the OS 70 in my Freya exploded in mid air today. The bottom end of the connecting rod disintegrated into a million pieces in flight. Man does that motor come to a halt right now when that happens! Looks like the 70 needs a new crankshaft, bearings, piston, ring, rod, wrist pin and it will be good as new. Repair costs are about 66% of a new motor. Could be time to upgrade the Freya to a 90.
