I have been flying my lepton for a while now and out of the blue I started to get a wag, I lowered my gyro gain but it wags wider and if I raise the gain the wag becomes faster and closer together. I have been flying this with no problems for 6 months prior to this. I run bigger carbon tail blades and a 611 9256 gyro combo, it does it in normal and in idle up where my headspeed is alot higher. I checked the belt and belt tension looked over everything and all looks goods. The only thing that changed was the outside temp, its about 50 deg my last flight. Im thinking maybe a bearing or??

If nothing has really changed it might be the Servo starting to fail, thats usually a sign that the pot in the servo is wearing out. What gain were you running on the 611, I beleive anything more than around 35% will prematurley wear the servo.

May I ask what radio are you using?
The reason I ask is I have the kinda same problem with my TREX600CF. It took me a month to find out that I put the GYRO SENS to a wrong AUX. I am using DX7 which you need to assign the Gyro Sens to AUX2 or Gear. I assigned it to Gear but I pluged into Aux2 so that no matter how much I increased the gyro gain in radio, it didn't work.

I don't know if the same case as yours but I just wanna share my case to you.

Im using a 9303 and the Im using aux 2, I have a 611 combo in my 600 ang it works great, I have my sens at 36 in the gyro and 70 on my tx anything less the tail doesnt hold. The gyro is about 100 flights old I hope the servo isnt junk already. The tail holds alright but its not close to as good as it is in my 600, I will try a new servo and see what happens thanks

I had my S9256 died when I was flying Freya Evo90. Its performance dropped about 2 flights before it actually did not move anymore. I was lucky that I found it was not moving anymore before took the 3rd flight. That S9256 was also about 100 flights.

bad belt

you may have sheared off a few teeth on the belt or there is a bind in the linkage from the tail servo

Belt looks good and so does the teeth I checked that first, the linkage is very smooth, I think it must be the servo.

Is the wag steady back and forth or it is erractic. Since you mention 50F temp. It may be static if the wag is erractic. Just a guess
