On Vario's 212 fuse, there are 2 pieces , one has the Air inlets for turbine and other has the turbine exhaust. I know that the inlet piece gets attached with screws, what do you folks do with the rear piece. Does it get glued or screwed after the paint ?

Thanks

I have built 12 of these fuselages and I have always glued the aft cowling on, I have thought about making it removeable but It really doesn't help with access to the inside of the fuse much. Paul

Now one logical question. At what stage should it be glued, before primer, after primer of after paint ?

Thanks

I glue it on before primer and I fill the gap (if there is one) between the fuse and the cowling with bondo, then when the fuse is ready I prime and putty as necessary. Hope this info helps, Paul
