Which "THE Fastest" statistic are we talking about. Fastest MPH empty? Fastest for load transportetd (hummer,tank,troops, etc)? Etc?

I'm a big Chinook fan and would like to see a show one day.....

i would assume empty would be its top speed. oterhwise the engines are hauling ass just to lift anything else let alone get top speeds.

i love the chinook though. im happy Canada is finally getting some. the sound of those blades and twin turbines really gets me going.

but officially, THEE fastest helicopter in the world right now i believe is the Lynx at 249mph....they actually had to modify the tips of the blades because they approach the speed of sound
