Why would you get more power from a non pumped engine? Granted some energy is loss driving the pump, but is it really significant to be noticed?

Also, on my OS 91 pumped, I have the pump going straight to the carb and no header tank. I've never heard/seen a person put a header tank in line between the pump and carb on this engine. Maybe on other pumped setups, but certainly not this engine. The manual doesn't suggest doing this and sounds very strange to me. Also, I have a vent on my Stratus and when inverted, I do not see fuel spewing everywhere (however, I don't doubt that a few drops escape every now and then, just haven't seen it and doubt it's a significant amount).

...now where was I, dh/dt = BS-dx/dt
