Thanks

Isn't there a more economical setup? I don't want to go over $500 if possible.

hey
what equipment do you already have???

if nothing....then $900 is about right...

if you are BRAND NEW to this hobby....plan on spending double what your budget is now to get started

Thanks

What exactly do you have already? If it's stuff from a Blade CX or CP, plan on getting new stuff.

My recommended setup:

T-Rex 450S aluminum combo $239
DX7 w/AR6100 $269
3 x HS-65HB $78
GY401 $139
S9650 $55
2 x FP Evolite 2500 $150
FMA Cellpro 4s w/adapter $85
Radioshack 15A power supply $85

Total $1100

These are average retail prices, you can shop around and probably cut $100 out of this.

I've got a DX7 on the way and AR6100 receiver

I can wait for a T-rex as I first want to become proficient on 3D on micros.

It's much harder to learn 3D on a micro than on a Trex-size heli. I still love my Blade CP Pro and fly it fairly regularly, but I find it much easier to learn new things on my Trex. Once I've got something down on the Trex it's not too hard to do it on the Blade, but it's just so imprecise and low performance compared to the Trex that it's much harder to do maneuvers that I'm not already good at with it.

I seen a Trex 450 for less then $900 USD Here at this link you can get the Trex 450 for $499.99 USD This kit gives you every thing you need to fly the helicopter. Heres the catch you need to build the helicopter from scratch but it has every thing you need to build the helicopter and fly it after its fully built. Or you can buy one RTF with every thing you need to fly it out of the box but it is $725.00 USD http://www.helihobby.com/html/trex_helicopter.html
