I have just receieved my Mini Titan SE kit and the seller included an extra 3 main shafts FOC.
This is what the seller said:
The OEM mainshaft is preciscely made and correct the minor gear clearance bewteen the auto-rotation gear and tail driven gear .
By the way... the damper seem to fit the metal (red) head fine.

Is the gear clearance a known problem? I have not seen any mention of it before.

Not that i know off...
When you put in the tail-block and the bolts to fasten it you have some room to play with the clearance before you fasten the bolts.
Nice to have three shafts, would have been better to have three Set's of blades etc. with it.
If the shaft bends, you've probably crashed it

Eric.

When I ordered it it was shown as a "Mini Titan E325 Full CNC Upgrade SE Version". They give you all the metal parts for the head down to and including the swash plate. You also get the metal parts for the tail. It was about $380 which I thought wasn't bad value.

Wow that is a nice package. I would say the price you paid was very reasonable. Who did you get that from?

Did you get parts like:
motor & esc
cnc upper bearing block
cnc servo mounting tabs
cnc front/rear metal belt pulley.
Sus flybar
carbon tail fin/boom

if not then that's a pretty expensive kit you got there.

The Motor and ESC came with it but not the other parts you mention.
You need to remember I am in the UK and the kit alone without the upgrade would have cost the equivilent of $280 so I in effect got the upgrade parts for a further $100 also there was no customs charges so I was quite happy with the deal.

Bargain

I paid the same for the arf kit with motor and esc, then bought a used metal head for a little over 100 no metal tail parts. You got a fine bargain

It's a K11 kit with the upgrades I listed.
This is link to the kit on the website:

Back to the original topic

When I build the kit I'll try both the orignal and the new shaft and see if the gear mesh is any better with the new shaft.

Correct me if I am wrong. That is no way to adjust the gear meshing between the auto rotation gear as it was fasten bt 4 screw.

I think the new main shaft help to align the main gear with the rear tail unit.

What alignment are you talking about?
The space between the teeth or the alignment up and down.

The 4 bolts you mention have a little play before you fasten them.
when you pull the boom before fastening them you will get a little more play between the gears (if needed).
Personally I've even never checked it .
The gears should be aligned in vertical position.
In my main-shaft there's a small offset that makes it possible to move the main-gear (and the shaft) up and down a little before you fasten it.
Normally you do this first and after that you setup the head's pitch etc.
