Is anyone using the xps system in their 450se? I have just gotten this system with the 8 channel receiver and can't figure out how to mount the receiver so that the antenna is at least 2" from any metal or carbon fiber part. I need to know how do you mount it.

Any pictures as to mounting location. I actually have my gyro mounted under the tail block so there is no room for the antenna.

If this helps, i believe some mount it upside down at the rear of the frames.

Would you then put the wires into from underneath?

I guess so but maybe you can look at the XPS forum on:-

I think they have installation galleries which may help...

Your mounting options are very limited with the 8-chan RX on a 450se. I'd just go ahead and mount it between the frames at the rear(with antenna oriented towards the rear), and make sure that you do a range test.

The only downside I see is that if you're involved in a heavy crash you may end up with a broken receiver. I think that the 6-chanel XPS Rx would be ideal, but they're out of stock

Yea I saw the 6 channel and it was out of stock or was it. Has the 6 channel even been released yet?

I think at one point it was, but I guess it sold like hot cakes. My 450se's been sitting awhile, and now i'm having the urge to fly it again. Sad thing is, I want the XPS 6-chan RX in there and not an 8ch.

Should I go Spektrum? Do I there?

Anyone interested in a XPS Futaba TX Module with 8-chRx combo? PM me
