hi,

i have a 450se v1 and with me being relativley new to this hobby i seem to be struggling getting this help to hoover in a controlled manner.

i have been using a sim (reflex & pheonix) for about 12 months now and have over 100hrs and i'm getting quite good. because of this i have not had enough real life heli time because i'm not able to get the heli setup properley.

i was wondering if there is anyone in the UK that would be willing to help me set up my 450 if i was to send it to them along with my dx7 transmitter in the align case.

i'm willing to pay for your time and cover all costs of parts that my be needed and the return postage.

i feel the biggest mistake i made was buying this heli as a second hand.

please get in touch if you are willing to help and live in the UK.

thanks alot

Z

Hi Zetex,

I can identify with your frustration. Nothing to stop you from taking it apart and rebuilding, just as if it were a kit?

Have you seen the Fin-less Trex build videos on the other major heli forum site? He goes over everything, top to bottom.

Sorry not trying to tell you what to do, but what if you have an expert fix it up, then you crash, then what?

I bet there are some locals who would help you out over a friendly pint

maybe even do a search for an indoor club in your area and go along to a meeting.
youll find plenty of help, failing that go to a club on the weekend and ask for some help

cheers
and yes the finless videos are very helpful

I don't know how much this will help, but please check out my gallery. At the bottom is a section called "Helpful files", and in that section there are two files.

1) radio setup for my 9C (I know it is different than yours, but it may help).
2) I have written up a head setup document.

Please feel free to pm me to ask any thing about the stuff I pointed you to.

Hi,

Thanks alot for all the replies, i have decided to strip it down and start from scratch as i'm sure i will find other things wrong with it.

i have been watching finless's videos they are brillant and i thought i have followed them to the letter, but i must has missed something, i have even used his throttle and pitch curves he suggests in his video's.

never mind, i'm sure i wouldn't be having as many problems as i have had if i had bought a brand new one. that will teach me....

the bit of flying i have done with it the tail was rock solid so i must have been paying attention with the video... LOLS...

its just the up and down that happens really quickly i need to resolve and make it alot softer to fly.

Thanks alot for all the advice, i'm now about 8 months into this hobby and apart from the fustration i love it and thats why i'm not throwing in the towel... the last couple of days i have started to get to grips with inverted, but thats only on the sim...

oh one last thing, are they any setting i should use to make the 450se more realistic in pheonix sim... really like it and have spent over 60hrs now on it.

all my setting are just default and i'm not sure if thats the right way to go as i have none or very little experience with a real heli...

thanks once again
