Heres the deal, about a month ago i was flying my T-rex 450 and it all of a sudden got interference, i thought and flew away and crashed. Recently purchased an AR7000 reciever and it would not bind. Just got a new AR7000 receiver today and it is having same issues as previous one. Is it possible my transmitter died??? I got it used in a package deal in Ebay so I dont know how old it is. Any help/ideas would be helpful.
I ordered a new DX7 today because I simply want to fly, and being in IRAQ and not having a LHS really bites!!!

Awfully hard to tell.

Did you get it used or new on ebay? Did you use a 6100 with your Trex. Horizon has asked folks to send the old 6100 receivers in for reprogramming.

Perhaps you can send your Xmitter to Horizon so they can check it out. I guess it is possible you have a bad solder joint in the Xmitter which makes it intermittent?

Let us know how the new one works out. I have had my DX7 since last December and have had hundreds of flights on it thus far.

Make sure you are using the bind plug directly in the receiver and
not the wire harness.

and being in IRAQ
Are you sure you're not being drowned out by military jammers?? or other equipment??

Just a thought.... I've heard of a guy having DX7 problems flying near a MOD site in the UK.

make sure you put the male bind plug into the battery hole on the ar7000 and power with your bec or a seperate battery in one of the servo holes. i spent a few hours trying to get both my ar7000s to bind before i checked on here and found that trick and then they both bound straight away. if you've got a proper dsc switch harness wired in you can use the female bind plug on the charge lead of that too.
