JKos, Cool you found the cause of your issues, but I am running the Align ESC on the 450. Are you talking about the 3amp BEC/VR that comes with the 600?

I have had the binding issue with the DX7/AR7000 on the TRex 600 but once I shut it off, and wait a minute, and power up, it works every time. I am wondering if maybe there were 40 poeple on the phone at that particular time? Could it happen?

I am heading to the flying field today and will see If I have any issues with getting locked out.All three Helis are working fine no problems at home.....If I can make it thru the night without getting a lock out and having to rebind.....with rebinding comes reversed pitch servo.....keep your fingers crossed.Align regulators have been taken out of the loop.....

artimus,

Have we met before? If there's a chance to look over your system it would be interesting to see first hand these, "anomalies". I would like to help out if I can.

Let me if you would like to meet at the RAMS club sometime.

Cheers,

Jeff

You mean cell phones or cordless phones? Cell phones arent on 2.4ghz and cordless phones shouldnt affect it unless your heli is sitting on top of one in operation and even then it shouldnt cause any problems.

I wouldn't blame them for the crash cause he told you to send it back and you still decided to try again and you had a bad out come. If it were me and I had doubts about my radio I wold definately not attempt to fly it one more time. I even sent my 6100 RX in for the update cause I was in fear of the ele lock problem it had. I never had any issues but I wasnt taking any chances.

Agreed.......
If you took the chance to fly it after being told that something may be wrong with your unit, who's fault is that? It sucks big time that you possibly got a lemon, but the technology is fine and works very well.

I didnt blame them for the crash....I blame them for the lockout....which caused the crash. I was a fool to try to see if I fixed it.....You'd would never do that!!!If you read the post you see that It checked out at home and did not have an issue till I got around another DX7 turned it on at the field range checked it not a glitch it even bound up first time at the field...no issues. Guess I should have stopped there and just boxed it up even if it seems to be working like it is supposed to.
According to you at the slight quiver of a glich ....stop everything and box it up and send it in to get fixed. If that was the case ...how the hell I a I suposed to find out what the issue is? It call trouble shooting....its frustrating to have a problem and have people tell you that it cant be the technology....
The fix is to go back to a company that has a proven track record of reliabalty and coustomer service and not to trust an up start with unproven technology..... "Just my opinion I could be wrong"

I'm not saying stop at the slightest hint of failure, but before this incident, you had already tried to troubleshoot your problems with no success, and you even posted here on the board stating your issues. In general most people agreed that you had an issue with your TX, and that your particular problems were uncomon, but you failed to heed their warnings. I'm not looking to put you down, but you failed to follow some good advise, which resuled in your unfortunate crash. We all make stupid mistakes, myself included, and it just sucks when someone else points it out for you

If you did read the post every thing was pointing to the Align 2 in 1 Regulator...I did what any body would do in this hobby , took it out and it tried again.....with bad outcome....not the first crash i have had . I have read about lock outs with DX7 all over this forum....what frustrating is that I am being treated like I am making this all up...."it couldn't happen to a DX7"
Explain why this only happens when around another DX7......oh yea ...that can't happen

If I am reading your post correctly, you said it did not glitch this time around another DX7 before you took it up?

The Align 2 in 1 regulator w/ 2s1p 7.4 lipo 12C 1900mha....but switch to 7.2 1800mha nicad pack steped down to 5.8v when I started to have issues...that seemed to solve the binding issues....the lock out was a new issue....

do you think maybe the 6 cell nicd may be too much for the stepdown? I'm not 100% qualified with these type of things though...

One thing I do know is that problems that I have read about the DX7 came from low voltage cut-off's and such where the NiCD packs cannot handle the load required by the system and dip low enough to put the receiver into failsafe mode. I don't know if this applies to you.

That 7.2V nicd pack is much higher than 7.4V when fully charged. Are you sure the stepdown is operating correctly? 6 cell pack correct?

That sounds like where this is heading....voltage reglation....again the Align voltage regulator has got to go....Fromco is what to try next.Spektrum may be not have deserverd all the blame.....sorry. A complete electrical rebuild is in order. It would be nice if it was that simple.
