Ok i have a strange problem. I had to auto my logo 14 for the 3 time now when 1 bolt that holds the tailblade holder broke midflight, and threw one of the blades to the sky. Bolt sheered straight off inside the hub. And I have the thrustbearings also. Like i said this is the third time and it seems to happen after around 10-15 flights only. I changed hub also after it happend the first time just because i couldnt get the damn screw out.

I have not overtighten the screws, i can promis you that. Also i have checked the tailshaft and it is straight. And i cant see any visible vibration on the tail eighter. So im kind of scared now to fly my logo until this thing is fixed.

I was running 95mm vblades on the tail, i was thinking that maybe this was a problem?

So if any have any ide what can cause this feel free to speak! :-)

I have "never" had this happen on my 14s and likely a hundred plus flights on them. In fact you are the first I think to ever report this. I would email Mikado and send in the last hub or bolt you had so it can be inspected and a better answer to your problem. Honestly this is very strange, I have never had this issue. I however have never ran over 92mm tr blades on my Logo 14s due to the gyro not liking anything larger. There are several people however that have reported using 95mm tr blades, but no failures of this kind.

Shawn,

Ive been with him when it happened, ive inspected the hub afterwards.
Im equally stumped.

Only thing I can think of is very very small micro-vibrations from a microscopic bent shaft causing metal fatique.. but thats a long shot.

well I dont want to scare anyone, because i know this is not a known issue. Also the hub I have been using have had bad tolerance. On one side of the hub the bearing slides perfectly, on the other side i hade grind pretty much to get the bearing to move easy on the hub. But i dont think this is the problem eighter beacuse the other hub i used dint have this problem.

Anyway im gona change the tailshaft now, because i cant see any other problem that can cause this. And i just hope this fixes it.

So in these cases, you have changed the tr hub itself correct?

The bolts you are using are they the ones that come with the tr hub kit, or ones you have sourced out? Sorry for the Qs, just trying to understand this....

Well if the hub and bolts are toast anyways I would be sending it to Mikado and write a letter with it, that's my opinion. Bad batch of bolts or what is going on there with your heli is beyond me to be honest. If something else comes to mind I will return, keep us posted.

3 pair of V-Blades, not very likely
I got a set of 95mm V-Blades for my trex and to my surprise they look very much the same as the stock trex blades. Knowing that they must be better I ran them. I did not check the balance at first but later I did and found them to be out of balance. Once I balanced them correctly (both ways) my tail vibes went away. All I can say is that most every manufacture has a certain percentage of issues with their products.

All that being said, I doubt that 3 sets in a row were bad but if you don't check them before using them you would not know.
