ECO's right, They're the same thing. AirThunder is Kong Power.. Just like Flight Power are Enerland cells, AirThunder packs come from KongPower packs.

I see that ReadyHeli is now carrying Kong Power. That should prove quite useful in the customer service department.

Just to clarify, Air Thunder and Kong Packs are seperate packs. Air Thunder put their labels on their own packs. Please don't ask how I know...period

AirThunder offers 50% off for the new battery if we damage the original battery due to crash. How about Kong power? Do they offer any warranty? I just can't find anywhere about service from Kong power.

Air Thunder uses Kong Power cells, Kong Power manufactures the cells in which Air Thunder purchases. AT assembles and wraps the cells in their own label.
Hey Mike, do you hear this from Air Thunder? How do you know that? Are you with them?

I can concur with all of Mike Fortins comments. All of his statements regarding Air Thunder packs and Kong Power packs are 100% accurate. Order some Kong Power packs from Readyheli today. You won't be disappointed.

Please see this thread for flight log information.

I have an email that is not meant for the public, but is stating the exact same thing. If I were to paraphrase I would have written almost exactly as Mike Fortin.

About the same with Ghobee too arent those 98% raptor copies?? onyl differance is the rotor head and canopy. Like blue shrink and black shrink. Of course you dont tell the Ghobee guys that just like you cant tell the Air Thunder guys their packs are KPs with new skin

I love these forums

I am in the market for some new Lipos in the 3 or 4 cell 2200 size range.

I keep hearing about Readyheli being great for customer service.... Well I bought 5 new DN batteries about a year or so ago - late fall, early winter - and all of them quickly puffed up and lost their punch. I don't see them still offered on Readyheli's site anymore. Just wondering what their customer service would do for me had I contacted them. I figured it was my fault for buying cheap priced batterys - I have Thunderpowers of simular size that I fly in the same models that have not had the problem these DN's have given me.

Besides the two batterys being discussed in this thread, are there any other good " cheaper " alternatives to Thunderpower that hold up well?

Hey Readyheli.... if your reading this, is there anything you guys can do to help me out with these DN batterys?

Readyheli's reply to Berry on rcgroups.com

Thanks Barry for telling it like it is...i appreciate the honesty, and disproves the earlier theories of anyone trying to damage your efforts, including Ready Heli misrepresenting facts, which we never have. Kong Power is a stakes owner of the OEM Supplier.

I appreciate the truth coming out.

Again, the market is large enough for many brands to co-exist, and as such we can only work to ensure customer satisfaction, and quality prevail.

For those of you concerned about warranty issues, your packs are shipped from the USA, and will be replaced by Ready Heli, from the USA. We believe our past history of dealing with customer service issues should ensure your confidence in doing business with our company.

Thank you all for your kind comments, feedback, and support.
Now can we go flying??? I have some batteries I need to run down

Official response from AirThunder

1. AirThunder and Kong Power purchase packs from the same OEM company for distribution. So yes, the packs are identical except label and shrink wrap. But AirThunder does not purchase anything from Kong Power.

2. Kong Power is a minority shareholder of the OEM company. They do not have a seat on the board, they do not manage the OEM company, they did not develop nor own the technology, and they do not represent the OEM company.

3. Kong Power has to pay the OEM company for their packs just like AirThunder does. They are a distributor, not the manufacturer.

If anyone has evidence suggesting AirThunder has purchased anything from Kong Power, we welcome such "evidence" to come to light. If such document does exist, we will have a forgery case against them.
