Any suggestions for unbonding 2 plastic parts that have been CA'd together without damaging the plastic? I have an older X-Cell 60 with a plastic radio / servo tray and the plastic riser blocks for the tail servo are screwed to it. In addition to the screw some CA is also holding the parts together. Even with the screw removed they refuse to budge / separate. I believe it's thin CA if that makes a difference.

Most places that sell CA also sell CA debonder. It may take a couple of applications to soak in, but it works.

acetone will make the plastic you're trying to debond brittle. so, probably not worth the effort, as the integrity of the parts you've just unglued has been sacrificed.

i'd stick with the debonder.

if it ain't broke, break it.

heat will loosen the CA. Then wipe w/ alcohol or acetone.

take a close look at the ingredients of CA debonder, it'll be acetone

if it ain't broke, break it.
