Hello,

I'm shopping for one or more addtional batteries for the Blade CP Pro. I'd like a little more run time that is available with the kit battery. Does anyone know if any of the Thunder Power batteries will work in the Blade? All other battery recommendations for the Blade are welcome.

Thanks for comments. I had been looking at the 1320 mah since its close to twice the capacity as the kit battery and only adds 19 grams. What kind of run times are you getting out of the 910 pack?

if you are only hovering and sport flying go for the 1320...people put training gear, scale bodies, plastic blades on their BLADES until you start to do acrobatics 19g wont make any difference...just nice long runtimes

if you have the money get one of each then you are covered either way

Electric power 1000ma batteries are what we have been using and seem to work great.

I use TP 1320 Lites on an all BL setup (main & tail) - over 14 minute flight times - fairly aggressive flying.

I really like the TP batteries!

tutelar-rc,

Sorry, I'm very new to this. What's "all BL setup (main & tail)"? Also what did you do about the power connectors? I was going to remain all stock for weight, but can't seem to find them. It seems like converting my kit battery and the speed controll connector to Dean's Ultra would be a good way to go. Not sure of the extra weight is worth worrying about. But every gram adds up. Comments?

I too use TP1320's on both my brushless and brushed blades. Same flight times as tutelar-rc and more because I'm not that agressive of a flier...just mild sport flying and puttin around the back yard. I like the way the TP batteries last. I ballance them every charge and have a couple 1320's with over 300 cycles that still give over 12min of flying. If something goes wrong, TP also will either replace the battery or give a substantial discount on a replacement. I had a TP2100 that one cells wires came loose under normal use and they replaced it. All I paid was the cost of shipping the old battery to them.

All brushless, both main and tail motors.

Regarding connectors: I stayed with the stock connector, since I wanted to be interchangeable with the 4 E-Flite stock batteries that I have.

I purchased E-Flite connectors and soldered them to the TP leads.

I think you can buy the E-Flite connectors already on the TP batteries, if you buy from LightFlightRC.com.

For charging, I use the TP-1010C charger and the TP-210V balancer. Way overkill for this size battery, but I plan to get larger batteries in the future, and they keep the cells balanced to within 0.01V - should extend the life of my batteries.
