Some put a few shims in. The play wont effect the performance. I took a file and shaved a few thousandths off the those stainless spanners. I think its sized so it fits both the SD-G and stock see saw.

May or may not. My recollection was the the stock was slightly longer ca 0.002 or so. The plastic one works fine and the metal one will break in a crash just the same. Take a little off the ends with a file. That is pretty much the accepted fitting protocol.

The hole in the silver shafts with the balls are there so that you can put a rod or screwdriver through it to hold it in place when you tighten the screws to put the assembly together . . . . both my Freya's have these holes as well . . .

My solution was to shim out the bearings in the ends of the seesaw. I made some custom shims with soda can material since I didn't have any proper shims handy in this size.

I think it's easier to shim out the bearings than to play with the flybar carrier. It gives you more flexibility if you then move the flybar carrier to another machine or do a rebuild.
