I just downloaded two albums. The first album I bought and my computer downloaded it. Then I went and downloaded the second. Now the only album that is in my iTunes is the album I downloaded the second time.

Anyone know what the hell happened? I don't want to just go download it again because I'm afraid I'll get billed twice.

did you connect your iPod up to your PC anytime inbetween?

That'll usually do it if you aren't careful.
There are few things you want to do in your options menu before ever connecting your iPod.

First thing first, disable the option that automatically updates your iPod with your library.

As for getting billed twice? you betcha.

I had a friend lose his entire library. He called some 1-800 number to customer service.
With a thick southern drawl ala larry the cable guy, and pretending to be completely stupid, he used phrases like "hooked that contraption up to that machine I gots me there, I guess it f'd it up somethin' fierce.

The lady was nice on the phone, and she gave him $100 worth of iTunes music store credit.

My ipod wasn't connected to my computer when I downloaded the song. If I look in my purchase history I see it in there. It downloaded as a playlist not a song. The other album I downloaded, downloaded as songs. I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

I'm pissed right now.

Well I found the album. I ran a search on my C: drive. For some reason iTunes downloaded that one album in a crazy part of my computer. I've downloaded hundreds of songs and they always download to the same spot in iTunes, what a pain in the ass.

That's why I'm getting away from ITunes, too much BS. My wife got a Creative Labs Zen Vision W 2 weeks ago. This thing is awesome!! It's bigger than the IPod 30gb, due to the 4.3inch screen, but it sounds so much better!! My daughter just bought the Creative Labs Zen V Plus. It too sounds so much better than an IPod. To upload songs into the library and MP3 is a little harder, but it sure is worth the hassle.

Ive had 3 ipods. 2 regular ipods and 1 nano. the nano is still going strong. I-tunes on the other hand takes over your computer. It also requires quick time which TAKES OVER EVERYTHING. I hate programs that invade your computer.

I hate I-Tunes and dont use it other than to put music on my Nano.

The rest of the stuff like the ear buds and neck lanyard were junk too. they all broke with limited usage.

What's cool about the Creative stuff, everyone pretty much has Windows Media Player on their computer. So, you can just get an account from URGE through Windows Media Player to download songs you want. Or because MP3 player's are everywhere, you can get all sorts of different music accounts that will work on your player, not just and ITunes acct.

Course, that should be any MP3 player not just a Creative.

There are 4 IPods in my house. They're nice but each of them has been sent in for repair or has been reformated or it freezes up. They just aren't worth the hype anymore. I'll buy Creative Labs products from now on.

I wont be buying any more Steve Jobs products either. My ipods have all been sent in to be repaired. On one occassion, the replacement Ipod had a defective HD right off the bat!

I have a Creative JukeBox Zen NX thats been serving me loyally for over 4 years as an mp3 player and an external HD. Its bigger and bulkier and much more cumbersome to operate than most newer MP3 players but the HD hasnt crapped out and the screen hasnt been scratched or broken by putting it in my pocket!
