I'm attempting to convert a Computer PS to Power my Multiplex 5014 charger. The voltage on the PS is reading 11.8 even with a 10w 10ohm resistor. The manual for the 5014 requires 11-15 Volts. Next amperage is reading 3.45. It clearly states it will provide 12v @ 8A on the label. Is this amperage that I'm measuring some kind of no load thing? And do you think this adequate voltage? I'm no electronics whiz, just a guy trying to save a buck.

11.8 is inbetween 11 and 15 volts you are fine here

plug your charger in and start the charge watch it for the first charge (check on it every 5 mins) I think your fine as long as you are not trying to charge a 6s pack at 5amps. JMO

I sent you a web site to your pm this will help you and if you still have questions drop me a pm and I will give you a couple more it's really easy and they work great I just sold one in a charger combo
