Clutch lining, is that replaceable or does the whole clutch bell needs to be changed? It's a Raven 50SE. If so, how do you install the new ones?
What happened: I was messing around with my transmitter on a different heli setting (I don't have a second heli) - and when I went to start my Raven 50SE, I forgot to change it back to main heli. I guess the servo on throttle was reversed and went full throttle on startup. I was holding onto the rotor head with dear life (panic) trying to figure out how to shut off the motor - In less than 5 seconds I pulled the fuel line off the carb. I smelled smoke everywhere. It wasn't exhaust smell. I looked around the heli and found white (ash) dust all around and on the helicopter and engine head. I thought I stripped and shredded the gears. I took apart the heli and found that all this white ash was coming from the clutch bell assembly. All the lining was gone except for some residual stuff still left behind. I used some sandpaper and lightly removed all the lining off the clutch bell. Now I have this smooth metal clutch bell with no lining.
i haven't tested the engine yet - but I need to inspect it because I'm worried that this dust may have been sucked into the carb.
