Has anybody weighed the carbon boom and compared it to the aluminum boom? My Trex 450 SE V1 is coming out slightly tail heavy and I wonder if this modification would help. I am running DS285 servos, 401 gyro, 9650 tail servo pressed to boom block, Align ESC up front and low, gyro mounted under boom on Microheli mount, and battery on slope Nuclear Power 3S1P 2100mah. Being tail heavy seems to be a common problem with these little guys.

I try to build my helicopters with as pefect a longitudinal and lateral C or G as possible avoiding a tail heavy situation at all costs. The tailboom has a large station so I bet even a little weight reduction would help with the C of G.

Damn it Jim I'm a doctor not a flying monkey!

Use FP EVO25 or TP Extreme batteries to get a better CoG.

Maybe swap your gyro out for a 2100T, 10g vs 27g+the microheli mount.
