I looked at Scot Gray's in August, it looks just like a 9303. He says it works flawlessly and fixes some problems that "older" systems had with CCPM mixing, I guess it combines the ccpm channels ad is much faster and smoother. I am not too thrilled with the price.

I bought one of the XP9303s when they came out with the synthesized package. The radio with the synth receiver was about $600, right about what they are charging now for the X9303 with receiver. I really think its a fair price for what you get. They only raised it $30 or so from the 72mhz version (before the sales began on the FM stuff).

i have the spectrum module in my 9303 and think its great but i do have planes and other things still on the fm & pcm band so now my radio can be used for all. i think your better off using the conversion myself at least until the rx's are cheaper and more readily available

only you have the power to make no difference!

According to the specktrum guys at Ircha in the booth they said that the one 72mHz that you buy the module for that has the ant. in the back, that it is NOT as fast as the new 2.5 radio.

That is what they said, wether true, I dunno. But it made seanse since the older one is designed around a 72mHz ant and the new one around 2.5....

To my understanding the new 2.4 9103 comes in two flavors...one for heli and another for plane-gliders while the non 2.4 does all three...just like my 8103.

I also believe the 12 ch version will be all three categories.

Those that have them...how does it balance with the neck strap?
Screen view with strap in way?

Of course you should be looking at your heli while flying but some of us peak at screen once in a while.

8103 perfect balance and screen on top.

The difference between the heli and air version is simply the switch labels and locations, the software is the same in both.

I have one, bought it at a local store last week. So far I like it, but this is the first high-end radio I've owned so I've barely scratched the surface. What problem/problems have you heard about?

I got mine last Thursday. Nothing like being frequency free and the extra speed. I feel it most in my pyro flips., and heavy authority maneuvers.
Now I'm complete.

I want to be clear, are you saying that if you buy just the module you will have the same 2048 resolution as if you bought the whole X9303 system. If so that would be the way to go for most people.

speed and resolution are not the same thing..

resolution is the number of steps a servo will move..
Speed will be how fast from stick to servo also called latency.

A plugged in module has to be processed by both the radio and module.. so it has some latency...

Do the modules work well.. yep...but there is a difference... small... but a difference.

Kind of like an MP3.. this audio file is not full range.. there is some quality loss... to the general public it is the cats ass.. but to an audiophile its not the best.

the plug in modules are great for most of the flying public.. we simply do not have the skills to notice the differnce. BUT.. and I have a big BUT... that does not stop us from wanting the best version... that is why we spend so much money
