Last night I made sure my rudder servo linkage was 90 degrees, busted out the calipers and made sure the coller that rides on the tail rotor shaft was equal distance from the tail case and rotor hub, but when I go to setup the limit on my 401 (in rate mode) I bottom out and bind on one side. I am only able to get my limit up to about 90 or so. Others say 100-110 is good deflection. It binds on the hub side and has loads of space on the tail case side even though servo linkage is 90 and all control rods are set to get the slider exactly in the middle on the tail. Is my gyro off?
should I try a different servo horn? It doesnt make sence, why is the gyro only over driving in one direction?

all trims, EPAs are all set to nuetral.

On my 450s I could simply move the servo up and down the tail boom to center things up and it would not mess with the control rod setup, but I think if I did that on the 600N the tail rotor would not be neutral as it says it is supposed to be in the manual.

Just move in one hole on the servo arm.

i always set my 401 up so the linkage has to right pitch(when looking from behind). It seems that is your problem as its to close to the hub and not close enough to the tail case. in rate mode adjust the linkage until the brass slider is about 6.5 mm from the tail case, then crank up your limit. go hover it in rate mode and make need adjustments so the tail does not drift. adjust your gain in both modes and it should be good.

I had the same problem. Go to second hole instead of the third hole on the 4 star servo horn.

thanks for the reponses, I am in the 2nd from the inside on the 4 way servo horn. I wondered if they ment "neutral" as in when hovering in rate mode mechanical linkage will hold the tail in neutral position. However the instructions showed the tail setup with no pitch in it at all, so that was confusing to me. I did notice if you have the rear linknge arm at 90s that the pitch was slightley askew like it would be to counteract some rotational torque. Not sure if that was engineered in there like that or not.
