I just thought I would share something different. Most weeks I fly on my days off which happen to be Thursday and Sunday. Most Sunday's you will finf me and a bunch of the guys at the local field burning up either the nitro or electron's. I had an offer by a buddy of mine that flies to go do something a little different. My buddy runs a fishing guide service. His name is Lonnie and his website is http://www.bigfishtales.com. Just in case anyone is interested. I caught my first king salmon today. It was a 27lbs. I had a great time.

I fly every week all year. I am glad I took a day off to do something different. I had a great time on the river. Thanks Lonnie!!!!

Looking fowards to the funfly in Brooks,Or. In a few weeks...

Nice fish Perry. Been a lot of years since I've been Salmon fishing. Feeling a little jealous.

tony,
my normal flying day is from morning till sometime in the afternoon. We all either get tired or run out of fuel or batteries. I suppose I could have taken a toy to fly after the fishing. Just could not figure out if there was going to be room.......

Shayne,
Thanks, I had a great time. This was just a test run for Lonnie to see how things were going. It is early in the run and the fishing is still slow. The river is way down also. I guess last year the run was about two weeks late compared to most years. I may go down for a couple more test runs in the next two weeks. Lonnie camps out down there for 5 weeks when the season gets going. He has not booked any trips untill the 28th so far. It depends on how the fishing is.

I was just messing with ya

I like fishing too eventhough its salt water. I try to have time for both and still see my family but when in doubt, I choose flying

If angelina jolie stopped by fishing and flying would be that last thing on my mind. but if the wife wanted some action she would have to wait till I was done doing either or both!!!!

I want to say it's a big Lake Trout but I'm probably wrong. Hope 440GTX comes and tells us, I'd like to know too.

You are right Herc and little.
It a Northern Pike. It was caught just North of Winnipeg Manitoba.
Its a friend of a guy at our office. He ( the guy in the boat )
) Thinks it a record for northern Pike. 55 lbs
