Thanks, Two -

Charge rate was set to 1C (I checked it twice) which I figure should be about 2 amps for a 2070 pack. The pack was put into service last Sept. 30, not quite a year ago, and has 51 flights/charges on it (I keep track). I can tell you that after one hour, the CellPro had added 402 mah and was charging at 0.45 A. I didn't note the data at 2 hours, but it was still struggling. I've flown the new pack about 7 times, but haven't noticed a difference in flight performance. I only noticed this huge difference in charging times with the new CellPro. Before I had been using a Hobbico AccuCycle Elite with a TP 205 balancer with no issues. Maybe I just had to get the flux out of the new charger before it could crank?!

Is it still slow in charging that pack, or just the one time? Maybe the balance connector was loose or dirty?

Something else you can try is connecting the charger to your PC, and graphing the charge. Then you can send the data to FMA.

FMA have been very patient in explaining a few things to me, especially since the Cellpro was my first lipo charger.

That's a good idea. Maybe I need the computer interface.

Anyway, I flew the pack for 6 minutes last night, and it charged at 0.60 to 0.70 amps, taking only a couple of hours to charge, so I thought I was going in the right direction. This morning I flew it for another 6 minutes, and it took about 4 hours to fully charge, the rate being around 0.30 amps. I'll try it again tomorrow, but I think I may just send the battery back to TP to have them check it out. The Accu-Cycle Elite never had a problem charging this pack, but that tells me that the Accu-Cycle's system might not have the same sophistication and the CellPro. More tomorrow!
