Base plate - I had to cut on mine to get the CY pipe to fit.

I keep thinking of items after I post.

I was thinking about getting the trex 700 as my first 90 when it comes out, but now since there have been so many issues with the trex 600n , I am leaning heavy toward the tried and true Minature aircraft Stratus. I know the issues have been minor, but still just too many for my taste. Its an awsome heli and flies great. I will finish my pro and see what I will do with the both of them.

I just got a Stratus and am putting the accessories together as we speak. I own a 600N and I feel when it comes to a 90 ship, I don't think Align can do it to MY liking. If the company is unable to design an manufacture a good swash, how do you expect them to make a quality larger ship?

I too have a MA Stratus as well as a 600N. The Stratus is a superb machine but given my wallet, I'm definitely looking for the Align to come out with a 90. If it's affordable and the problems are minor like the 600N, then I have no problem but would prefer there to be no problems at all of course. I'm more concerned with how it flies than minor problems. But that's just me.

I just think a 90 machine is better left to the quality companies. You get the drift. That's a lot of rotor up there. MA knows how to make a plastic grip that can take abuse. Align has redesigned their plastic grips I think three times. Sorry but it's just not worth it.

I think that Align is by far one of the best heli companies out there. For one thing, there product support is far superior to any other company involved in this hobby that I have dealt with. Second, the parts support is phenomonal, they are constantly coming out with upgrades and their parts price to quality ratio is unbeatable. So far in this thread all of the problems were minor and most were fixed in a timely manner because Align, unlike many other heli companies, listens to its customers. I own a TREX 450 and a 600 nitro and when the 700 comes out I'll be first in line to get one. And one other point, you guys forget that its the first year of production of the 600 nitro and not only were there very few problems, but of the problems, most were fixed by Align already. How many other manufacturers can say that. Thunder Tiger had many wrinkles to iron out of the Raptor before it was at the point where it is today and thats not saying much, because I'm constantly fixing things on my Raptor. And as far as Miniature goes, They're nice but you'd better have a big bank roll to keep them flying. I know I don't worry when flying my 600n because every part I buy comes in multiples and they're low priced too. And that is why Align is the working man's helicopter.

Hoot, didn't you say almost the same about the 600N?

I think Align is learning from their mistakes...Maybe one of the reasons they already don't have a 700.

The 600N's issues have been minor. Still, I was the first in my area with a 600N and I don't regret it....But I don't think I will be the first in my area with the 700....I am happy with my Vibe, but looking...right now the Synergy is in strong contention.

Long term

I have only 4 gallons through my 600N Pro and I can see the heli being very durable over time....HOWEVER the bearings that are supplied and sold by Align are nothing short of garbage. I dont blame Align for these bearings, they did not make them but bought them from a supplier. If you touch and brake a blade on the ground just slightly the grip bearings are toast! tag the ground a little harder and the main shaft bearings are hammered. My last set of Align supplied bearing went bad with NO CRASH AT ALL! I am done with Align supplied bearings. I recently had a crash and all my bearings will be replaced with the highest quality bearings I can find....Jim

MJ, How many helis out there do you know of that you can stop the head from spinning a few thousand revs a minute in a fraction of a second and expect no damage. I too was unimpressed with the quality of the Align bearing so I started trying different ones and still the same thing. There are tremendous forces held in place by the bearing and once you offset that force they are going to get notchy. The only thing I can say is that I paid like 7 bucks for new Align grip thrust bearings. I think the last time I replaced the thrust bearings in my Raptor I paid like $30.00

I can't get over how so many guys get so dam hung up on a few little issues THAT ARE EASILY SOLVED.

Its funny how people complain that they have to spend money to upgrade a boring yet functional part like a bearing but have no problem shelling out big bucks for bling that does nothing but look cool.

Align puts out a great product and have raised the standards in todays heli's. Their not the best but do have the best bang for the buck.

price to performance, there are no complaints at all!

come on guys, let's get real.

i've built my 600n pro completely stock and it has held up fine over many, many gallons of abuse. no upgrades, no special parts, just a reasonable assembly and no issues at all! i even have one of the early versions.

i abuse my helis in the air, but don't smash them into the ground and complain when they don't hold up to the impact with terra firma. align puts out a quality product at a killer price, so what's with all the complaints??? no one way problems here, no clutch problems, no problems with ANYTHING, just a solid dependable heli which is super cheap to practice on and super cheap to wreck! what more can be asked???

long term quality report=A++

I'm thinking about getting the sport version of this heli as graduation gift for myself. Is there anything I should replace and/or look out for with this thing? No 3D yet just scooten around and maybe some AP.

LOL, whats funny is you don't even have to go that far with this heli, all you MIGHT have to do is upgrade a few parts and bolt them in.

One thing people have to keep in mind is the Trex line is the most popular meaning there is thousands and thousands of them sold. The more sold the more part failures are going to get reported here or on other sites. Trust me, if Miniature Aircraft sold as many Stratus's as Align sold 600N's there would be just as much whining about it.
