Both of the latest version of the Trex 600 (CF or G10) comes with the 600XL motor (1650kv) and a 75A ESC. This combination is good enough for most beginners. I get around 8 to 9 min hovering time with a slightly low HS.

IMHO, I think the Trex 600 is very good for a beginner as you don't need to worry much about the motor/esc combination, pinion selection, bec and stuff, as they call come with the combo set. All you need to do buy are the main blades, gyro, and cyclic servos.

Hi RunNoob,

There are lots of choices out there, and everyone has their own preferences. I have listed below, what I have used before as a beginner and I hope it would help.

Gyro: Futaba GY401 w/ 9254
Cyclic: Futaba S9252
Blades: Funtech Silver blades.

Cheers,
Kelvin
