I have been hovering my T-Rex 450 for a few weeks now and have built up a lot of confidence so I figured it was about time to take the training gear off. I was hovering fine for a few min when disaster struck

My friends and I met at our local flying spot and I was in such a rush to get there that I forgot to screw in one of my main rotor blades. It was hovering fine but when I went to do some forward flight the unsecured blade came loose and caused a nice crash. Bad news is that it cost me $40.00 to learn my lesson and the good news is my LHS had everything in stock and my 450 is getting a nice new carbon fiber boom.

I learned to do a thorough pre-flight check before each flight and always check everything twice. I was going to take pics but the carnage wasn't too bad and if you see 1 bent flybar and boom you have seen them all.
