I think he means how tight should the auto rotation hub be. Not 100% sure though.

If we knew what we were doing, we wouldn't call it research

If you are talking about the red gear right below the main gear that should be bolted to the main gear. If that turns without the main gear turning something is wrong.

The red gear means it's a non-driven tail. i.e. When the engine stops spinning the gears your tail will stop spinning. This means you'll have more energy for shooting auto's but you will not be able to steer the tail during the auto.

30 V-2 TAIL SKEEPER

HI; JSCHENCK...YOU ARE RIGHT IS A NON TAIL AUTOROT.the part tha I jus mentioned is mounted under the red gear on the main chaft,it look like a hub with a screw that goes across it, and the main shaft. SO WHEN I PURCHASED it THEY TOLD MY THE HUB WILL KEEP A CONSTANT TAIL AND MAIN BLADE WORKING AT SAME TIME, PLUS IT CAN BY ADJUSTED SO IF I hit the grond With the tail fins it wont damage the belt or gears.they seed that the tail will skeep, do to the adjustment on the hub.

That part is called he "one way clutch" by TT. The part you are talking about is the inner sleeve ("one way clutch shaft" ) of the one way that carries the lower mainshaft bolt aka 'lower jesus bolt'. This sleeve spins inside a one-way bearing which is bolted to the main gear assembly on the outside.

There is no adjustment. Make sure that the bolt is tight enough to take up the slack but not deforming the sleeve. If your tail blades dig dirt, they dig dirt. As long as the engine is running there will be power applied to the tail drive.

read this manual and read up at raptortechnique.com. they will help
