All:

We just spent the past seven days in Muncie Indiana at IRCHA. Sorry to see it end so fast! What a blast as usual.

I'm still on 72 MHz with my Futaba 12Z radio, but from what I can see the 2.4 GHz radios worked great, and provided the added benefit of reducing the load on 72 MHz!

And no, the 2.4 guys did not "hog" the flight lines. I had no problem getting channels and a place to fly, even on Friday and Saturday evening when everyone wants to fly!

The system worked perfect. This IRCHA was the largest RC event of any kind in the world! No 2.4 impound. Way fewer lockouts than ever. The 2.4 system not only works, it also helps the 72mhz work better. Less chance of conflict.

This is cool.

Hmmm perhaps a day too long for me as I came home with a YS91SR.

I do believe that this event was a great test of the technology and appears that it was great success. I was on of "those" on the 2.4GHz and it was great not having to cruise up the impound to get my transmitter and pin.

Yeah kinda hard to justify with two good running OS's Maybe I will pull it just for giggles. Now is the time actually when they are making good power for a fair comparison. Not that difficult.
