Hi can some one please help,

I am using a JR 9X2 tranny and am trying to get my throttle jockey to come on with my idle 1 and 2 settings (aux 4) ????

Just changing the device selection from aux 2 to aux 4 turns TJ on in normal, off in idle 1 , and on again in idle2???

I want TJ off in normal, 1st speed in idle 1, 2nd speed in idle 2?????

It is on a Trex 600n, hyper 50

Can this be done?????

Cheers JJ

I would say that aux 4 does not have the proper mix set up, why not use aux 3 for the gov, if you go to model avionics web site and go to radio setup they give you directions on how to set it up in aux 2 & 3 but it doesn't say anything on aux 4. I hope that this helps you.

I think the 9X2 is the same as the 9303 here in the States. If it is, you should plug the TJ Pro into the gear channel (channel 5). Make sure that the gear channel is activated in the device selection menu. Then calibrate the TJ Pro. Once it is calibrated, go back to device selection and switch the gear channel to GOV. Once that it is done, you will have a Governor menu option now in the list. Go to the Governor menu and leave Normal mode at 0% (which will leave the TJ Pro off) and adjust the percentages for Idle Ups 1 & 2 for your desired head speed. I usually start at 70% and go up from there.

I always Aux 2 for my gyro and then I activate the Gyro Sens feature and use it to adjust the gain. If you are not comfortable using the gyro sens menu, than you can always use the travel adj. for Aux 2 to adjust the gyro gain.

JR PCM 9X Setup from Model Avionics website telling you how to...hope this helps

The throttle connects to THRO channel (1)

The auxiliary connects to AUX2 channel (7)

Make sure that any mixing on AUX2 is off.

ATV setup [TRVL ADJ.]

Setup the throttle servo and linkage as close to +/- 100% ATV as possible.

Select the AUX2 channel to +100% and -100%

Hint: You can observe the AUX2 range on the [MONITOR] screen

The system is now ready for calibration. Calibration Procedure

The target rotor speed can be calculated using the ATV Calculator

Example 1: 2 speed setup:

Gear ratio = 9.3:1

ATV- = 39%, ATV+ = 72%

AUX2 Sw Posn Rotor RPM

(DOWN) 1200

(MIDDLE) Disabled

(UP) 1500

Example 2, AUX3 channel sets RPM

The throttle connects to THRO channel (1)

The auxiliary connects to AUX3 channel (8)

ATV setup [TRVL ADJ]

Setup the throttle servo and linkage as close to +/- 100% ATV as possible.

AUX3 is already mixed to the flight mode switch. The ATV in normal flight mode is +100, in flight mode1 the ATV is 0 and in Flight mode 2 the ATV is -100.

Set the AUX3 ATV [TRVL ADJ] to +100% in N and Flight S1 and S2 switch positions.

Remove any V curves or idle up curves (they can be restored after calibration) on the throttle in S1 and S2 flight modes.

Inhibit any mixing on AUX 3. Toggle the flight mode switch to enter and leave calibration.

Two mixes are used to add offsets to AUX 3 in each flight mode so that, in this example, Normal mode disables the Governor, flight mode 1 sets 1200rpm and flight mode 2 sets 1500rpm.

Hint: You can observe the AUX3 range on the [MONIT] screen

[PROG.Mix1] - This mix flattens the AUX3 channel to disable the TJ in each flight mode switch position.

SW SELECT ON

AUX3->AUX3

Point-0:-> 100

Point-3:-> 0

Point-6:-> -100

[PROG.Mix2] - This mix sets the target rpm to 1200rpm (39%) in flight mode '1' and to 1500rpm (72%) in flight mode 2.

SW SELECT ST1 ST2

AUX3->AUX3

Point-0:-> 72 (1500 rpm in Flight mode 2)

Point-3:-> 39 (1200 rpm in Flight mode 1)

Point-6:-> -100

But why go through all those mixes when you can just hook up the governor to the gear channel and then activate the governor menu?? This automatically ties the governor to the flight mode switch w/o any mixes needed. It is very "plug and play" using this method.
