Here's me trying to learn to hover.

This is my 2nd day flying, this bird.

Only other thing I have flown is my AXE CP. Which BTW was really hard to fly. Heck I never flew it for more than 10 seconds.

That's terrific J,

You must have some natural ability for flying helis.
2 days is not alot of time, and your already about to make a breakthrough.

very good start.....

suggestion: maybe some "expe" to soften the center stick and also a little less "throgh" in the servos...it would help center stick and hovering...

and if you get the nerve, it does hover better 5'+ out of the ground effect...

im no expert but your doing great..this heli is so forgiving...

keep us posted on your progress!!

idle up

It looks like your flying in a linear throttle curve. If you fly in idle up, even at 65%, (and you can go up when you get better), it's WAY easier... Linear throttle curve is hard to hover because your constantly controlling the throttle. In fixed your only controlling the pitch, up and down... WAY easier to hover..Try it once..

I'am learning to hover also I am using a Blade cx. My Qj8 ep8 v2 ex is on the way, One week tomrrow since I payed for it. Back to hovering The first battery pack I was still skiddering on the ground getting no where. Then I said self its time to fly. I pounched it off the ground about three inchs and found out I could do it I can fly I can fly I can fly!!!!!!!!!!! That was monday today charging 19 & 20 now. I caught the tip of one upper blade is the only damage. Have been practicing my soft and stactionary landings. Only half an hour tell done and time to flyyyyyyyyyyeeeeaaaaa.

That's pretty good for a beginner!

And you've got a lovely lawn there, don't see much of that in my country.

Heli J, It's going really good. Training gear is off I can keep it in the air for a full battery. Also keeping the hover in a pretty tight area.

BTW everyone can call me John

Congratulations, John! You're well on your way to Forward Flight. Do you have a decent flight sim like Realflight or Reflex XTR?
