Just a quick question, how often is your entire fleet 100% operational? Since I've been in this hobby, I've never had everything in tip top shape. There have been few times when I had everything flying, but not tip top shape. I finally got ALL 3 of my nitros ready to fly (Stratus, Raven, and 600N) and to complete the fleet, I would have just needed my 450SE operational. But guess what happened yesterday afternoon? Of course, had a crash. Don't know what caused it, it was flying sideways towards the ground, I fed in opposite aileron and it didn't respond. One of the servo gears are stripped, but I'm not sure if it's from before the crash or after, either way, I have a fleet of 5 (one plane) and one machine is down. Not to mention, I need to replace the sensor on the 600N (oh joy ) and thus is not at 100%. So yeah, for those with 3+ models, how often is all of them ready to flown at a moments notice?

i have a plane, and two heli's. my Bell 222 for the most part has always been airworthy...but barely...i just tore it apart the other night to fix a few things to make it 100%. my predator is kickin a$$ 100%, and so is my plane

soon to come...another sail plane, and a 600N....and if there is money left over, a trex 450 SE

then i will truly be happy and not feel the need to increase my fleet further....for a while alteast

Hi,

8 helis and 5 planks. All operational I would say 95% of the time.

Ironically, batteries have been my biggest head ache in keeping the fleet airworthy.

Well isn't the whole idea of multiple aircrafts redundancy?

4 helis, 2 are grounded, 2 are flying. 5 planks, 1 is flying, the rest are collecting dust waiting to be fixed. I just fixed my 1/4 scale gasser plankster the other day with duct tape. Planes are easy.

2 planes and 2 helis, all are in top shape and ready to fly. It's a shame we lost our flying field recently so now I only have a place to fly the mini-titan. Time to get into park-flyers I guess.

After 31 years in the sport I've got enough stuff collecting dust to open a hobby shop! My motto: You can't have too many toys :-)
Currently have 4 helicopters and 12 planks flying. Also 2 1/8 scale cars, 1 1/5 scale car, a sail boat and a submarine.
Hey, as long as I'm on-line........where's my credit card? LOL

What can I say life is a bitch, my Raptor 60V1 I have had it for ever I got it from the states when they were first released would it be 10-15 years ago, not quite sure (some one correct me if I am wrong) of the exact time but very early. As with any new model the flights seem to get harder and harder and she has had many new parts and upgrades but nothing major only Tail Boom F/spindles, bearings, three engines, and numerous sets of blades from wooden to Young Blood Razors. Lately I.e. The past few years I been treating the lady with the respect she deserves and not going too hard on her.

I have always had a soft spot for the lady and she fly’s like a dream any thing you wish to throw at it, how ever it came in like a bag of crap last month. Still don’t know what happened it just fell out of the sky backwards and there is not a strait frame or undamaged piece of plastic left on it she is a total right off this includes the original canopy with the original stickers (Sad I Know) is still in the field where she fell as testimony.

The Moral of this story is it do’s not matter how many you have and how well they are looked after you can always fall victim to sods law,

Stock
5 Helis no I mean 4
2 Planks
2 Foamies

The only thing I can count on is the foamies as a hot glue gun and they are back in the air in 10min no matter how hard they hit.

Flying
3 Helis
1 Plank
2 foamies

Fury Extreme:Raptor50 -- Of course I can fly it, but if you see me running try and keep up !!!!!!!

80% is always RTF, the remaining 20% are new builds or rebuilds.
Any more than 20-30 machines makes it hard to keep everthing in flying condition all the time especially with a family and job.

we can never have too many, can we ?

Two 50 size helis both ready to go. I never have a heli down for more than 3-4 days. I have a huge stock of parts, including 6 sets of cf blades, 5 crash kits, 3 frame sets, and a spare kit. I burn 4-6 gallons/week so downtime is not an option. I will be adding a 450 size electric soon because the $4000 fuel bill this year is getting out of control.

Tons of planes and helis. This happens every year, start out with maybe a half dozen total ready to fly. Minor crashes, repairs, and wear leaves me with one maybe two, ready to go. Just part of the game.
