OK, has anyone else's canopy on their MT's gotten all distorted sitting in the car? This is the 2nd one I've had that's gone bad. I'm talking about the carbon looking black windshield on the body. Both of mine had gotten all distirted just sitting in my van. It does get hot here in Lancaster, CA but nothing else I have has done this.

Thanks!

my friends did the same thing sitting in a black truck. I'd say bring it in when not in use.

This is happening when I leave the field and go to lunch. My van is white and I usually crack the windows. When I get home to unload the canopies ruined. Anyone know if there are any options for the canopy? Has TT made a glass canopy for the MT?

Hi guys

I live in a Fu%&ing HOT place....

If i have to leave my MT in the car, i just put it under a towel and out of direct sunlight. Not given me a problem.

Or i leave the car running with the A/C on full blast. We have no crime here, so leaving the car unlocked with all my heli stuff in it and the car running is OK......great place.

it happend to me one afternoon on a sunny day. i left mine sitting on the bench in direct sunlight while i fly my logo and when i came back to the bench to find the carbon looking wind shield had a huge dip on it. the black color of the windshield absorb all the heat and the material cant tolerate it.

it makes me wonder if the wind shield area on the canopy was suppose to be cut out at all. other wise it would have reinforce the plastic carbon wind shield from deforming from the heat. but then that add weight.

perhaps a silver paint could help it absorb less heat.

oh yeah, i bought a replacement carbon wind shield and it turn out to be smaller than the original wind shield. it didn't cover the entire wind shield area on the canopy. strange, maybe it shrunk while shipping?

So TT needs to make it a tad bit thicker.

Hi guys

I had my MT out in the sun today. It was 42C.....and no problems.

The Radix blades and the canopy gets HOT, but no melting or distorting. I must have a 'special hot' MT.....just kidding, i bought it at Sussex Model Centre in the UK.

The motor and ESC....well everything gets HOT HOT HOT. Including me.
