This post is a warning to all Blinky owners out there.

If you take Ambien CR, be aware that waiting till the last minute to disconnect your battery pack and Blinky from the charger mid-charge before falling to sleep may lead to loss of your Blinky.

Last night I had a 3000mAh pack on the charger with my Blinky attached. I took an Ambien and about 45 minutes later decided I'd better head off to bed. So (I have no recollection of this) I disconnected the battery pack from the charger and disconnected my Blinky.

This morning I came down to my work area to see the pack sitting in the flowerpot charging containment area, awaiting to resume its charge cycle, but my Blinky was no where to be found.

If you find my Blinky, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to pay the return postage

It's a sleep aid, Willy. To add insult to injury I spent a good portion of the day looking everywhere in my house (even my trash cans) for my Blinky and it is no where to be found.

My wife and kids think it's the funniest thing. I think they just like to hear me say Blinky

Dude this is not uncommon, I would look in places where you might have worked on it or tested it out. It is possible with that stuff that you drove to your flying field and left it there and drove home with out any memory of that.

Check the fridge. I find my keys and such in there from time to time.

I wouldn't take it quite that far. My wallet was secured upstairs on the nightstand, inches from the wife

damn it all to hell! your ball and chain feedback brought an awesome idea to mind. "The Blinky Leash" !!!

When I find that sucker it's getting a hole drilled through an unused portion of the pcb. I'll tie it off with a 12" rope chain from the charger!

Too bad it's a day late, dollar short.

Well... The obvious answer, is that it is where last you put it.

The quickest and easiest way to find it is to order a new one. As soon as you open the new one, the old one will appear again. At least, that is when I find missing things.

BLINKY FOUND

Yup, it happened tonight.

While working on reinstalling a cdrom I recently pulled out of a machine temporarily to get another machine going, I found my Blinky.

It was the oddest moment. The computer had two cdrom drives (dvd reader and a cd reader/writer). A couple weeks ago I pulled the top drive. When going to reinstall it tonight I looked into the bay and wouldn't ya know it, sitting smack dab on top of the remaining drive (inside the bay) was my Blinky!

I have no clue how it got there.
