alright.. so after flying my trex600 and my trex 450 around for like a year, i went back into my basement and pulled out my raptor 30 v2 I had sitting there for like 1 1/2 years. I started it up and flew it around. It is bone stock... all plastic and OS .32. Im using SAB 550mm fiber glass blades. The thing flies ok, but it is so slow when flipping it over and everything. What can I do to make it flip faster and more responsive? I have all the throws maxed out. I do have those light green light paddles laying around that I could put on in place of the stock ones. I know tech it should help, but is it going to make a noticable difference? Is there anything else I can do to it? Maybe there is a better head i could put on it or something?

Paddles, head speed, servos, dampers...in that order.
Assuming the cyclic is setup correctly.

You don't really need a better head for the os32. The limitation will be your engine power.

Try the green paddles, they make a BIG difference from the black.

well my head speed is already pretty fast.. everyone was telling me to lower it because it would seriously over rev. I could say screw them and increade it tho... i will put the green paddles on. I have 9252 digital servos on it already. arent those good enough?

9252 are fine. You will notice a big change with the green paddles.

For a start put on the green paddles and make sure to move the links to the outside hole on the mixing arms, that will quicken her up. Run up the headspeed ,, lower extreme pitch or use good/better collective management,,go to higher nitro fuel if needed,,go to an OS 37 ,this is a good power upgrade. Convert it to a 50. As the Align nitro gets more and more popular prices for Raptor parts will stay low or lower till it wins the heli race or dies. It should be awhile though,,many possibilities,ENJOY!.
PS. Forget the Kasama head for now. You want the power up,,nothing wrong with a stock head on a 30 and you wont notice a difference with KASAMA HEAD compared to a stock head on a 30 either

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly far better than I can pilot them

i was thinking of getting a .37 but is there really that much of a power difference between the .32 and .37? I guess the power of my 450 and 600 spoiled me lol. Im thinking of getting a align 600 nitro but i would still like to have my raptor flying the best i can get it too. I will deff try to the green paddles.. i have to also check to see if the out side holes on the mixing arms are being used but i think they already are. Thanks for the advice tho.. in converting to a 50, is all i need new blades and a new gear and tail boom/belt? I may think of doing this but right now i feel like the engine is holding its power fine because it doesnt bog, it just seems like there isnt enough travel in the head but i could be wrong. i might also try carbon blades instead of the sab fiber glass ones since carbon will be lighter and that should help too. Anyway, keep the suggestions coming. Thanks again

I, too, would recommend upgrading it to a 50 and dropping an OS 50 Hyper in it.

You could always convert it to an E550. Those things have only slightly less performance than a trex600 and probably more than a 600N.

My opinion, put the green paddles on and fly it. If you still want more then consider the big money stuff. 9252's are great, runs my titan just fine. If you are good at really managing your pitch/collective then you can try adding more pitch range and more cyclic range, watch for the bog!
