thuoght i had a stuck bearing on the feathering spindle, disassembled, relubed thrust bearings still every flight ecspecially after extreme flight the blades come out of track usually about 1 degree.
the main rotor grips have a lot of slop on the spindle, would this cause the problem, are there aluminium upgrades available for the head or would some other heli parts(rotor grips/feathering spindle) such as the trex 600 fit???

Hi, could you please describe the problem in more detail? Example, the grips are loose on the bearings, the bearings are loose to the spindle, etc. I wouldn't fly the model until the problem is found. Loose grips or worn parts could possibly come apart in flight.

there is a bit of flex in the grip, and slop between the bearing and the grip, the heli has had 3 cases of fuel so i hope nothing is worn yet, any way it has had this problem from birth...

Hi,
Are both blade holders loose? Or is the problem isolated only to one grip? If one side has play you might want to replace it. The condition you describe could possibly allow the blades to go out of track. A rough landing could be enough to stress out a grip. Mine does not have any play on either grip assembly. Don't take chances with a loose grip, CHANGE IT OUT!

Check the blade spindle to make sure it's not bent.....may have come that way initially..(defect ?)

Also, if the heli has been crashed, make sure you check the screws that hold the ball onto the blade grip. A bent screw is a source for out of track problems...

it seems like the blade grips flex to much, there is slope between the grip and the outer bearing...during the breakin the screw attatching the ball link on the pitch servo fell out and i lost pitch control resulting in a hard landing, this may have stressed out or weakened the grips, yes??

Yes, it is possible.....

But it is also possible that you may have bent something during that hard landing.....

Check what I suggested.....

Hi guys,

We're back from IRCHA where we had a good time and met lots of people.

Blades going out of track . . . check the play in the aseesaw arms, I bet one of them is loose.

Otherwise call me at 407-302-3361 10-6 Eastern, leave me a message if I'm not in - I'm pretty good about returning calls. We'll figure it out.
