Wondering if the conversion from version 1 to version 2 is practical economically. Does minicopter sell a conversion kit? How much?

I understand minicopter will provide parts support for Joker 1 for only 2 more years.

keepin' it real

Is that the only difference, the lower side frames look different. Is the rotor head the same for parts?

basically, everything is different. new frames, new gears, new tail parts. I had a cx, I can't remmember exactly, but I think the head is the same.

Rhett..... I can't fly, but the Profi sure can.

Head is the same.

Tail is the same as later versions of the CX (I think).

Tailboom and fins are the same (I think).

All electronic (incl. motor and batteries) can be reused.

Basically everything else is changed (and this is probably the reason for why you can't buy an upgrade kit).

Conversion kit is a complete Joker 2 kit including canopy MINUS the following:

- mainrotor head (bag 22-27)
- swashplate (bag 12)
- tailrotor head (bag 20)
- landing gear (bag 1)

We have removed that after a while because the normal way is selling on ebay and purchasing a complete new kit. But if anybody needs a conversion set, no problem, we can pack it.

Yes, old actro on Joker 2. The parts were made as homework from a modeler, no stock parts from us.
A new actro in the old Joker: Problem here is the relative short shaft end of the new actro, you must lengthen it. For example you can bore the 8 mm shaft hollow and ream it 4.98mm. Then you glue in with green Loctite an old (but straight!) 5mm tailrotorshaft in the length you need it. Not a difficult work, but work. You must be cautious when you remove the shaft from the actro bell, do not load pressure on the thin 4 arms, use a shaft with a 9mm bore for pressing and do not press on the bell housing.
