I am having problems with my CP. the problem is that in flight either hover or forward flight my tail rotor seems to have a mind of its own. When I give it right or left is seems very slugish and then it will start to turn the opposite direction from what I am wanting it to go. It has a new tail motor on it. The batteries are stock and might be a little old. I am wandering if you all think that it might be them or the 4-1 controller. Also has anyone else had this problem?

I am new to the hobby and don't know all the terms yet. The helicopter is stock except for superskids, microheli autorotation main gear, and plasti blades. I will try to help you out with any other info that you need.

Sorry I should be more clear, I am a helicopter mechanic on the AH-64. I just don't work on eletric helicopters enough to know what is wrong with it. There where blade strikes on the old tail motor but none on the new one. Could that have caused an overload somewhere in the cicuit? As for the radio and all electronics, they are stock.

No,thats cool, thats how you lean the terminology...you may need to adjust the gain and proportion on your 4in1 also have you checked out the BLADE seyt up vids yet...at the top of the forum where it says IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONAL INTERESTING click on that

new motors are always a crap shoot not to mention the brushes need to be worn in after a 1/2 dozen flights the motor will break in and proportional will need adjusted again. I also have a friend using plasti blades I think they are too heavy and slow down headspeed vs collective pitch. Thats the degree of up pitch in blades vs throttle. I could never get the tail to hold to well against the main rotor torque. I set it to hold at 1/2 a flight 5 min into a flight I adjusted the proportional on the gyro. so at full battery you held left rudder low battery you held right. I still fly my BCPP with rate gyro when its not in pieces but if you really want to learn forward flight I would suggest the HH gyro upgrade. otherwise you will be flying the tail as much as the rest of the heli.

No Really I am the club President!!!

Also, with a HH gyro, you will have
to use rudder to make your turns. Get
one and some wood blades jmo.
Thanks for Serving !
