VERY interesting flight tonight. I was flying along when the heli started to kick at the head. It felt like the mixing arms were coming loose or some other linkage was loose. So I landed post-haste. Well long story short a few of us were looking over the heli (Raptor) and couldn't find anything mechanically wrong so "hey, turn on the radio and check out the servos". good suggestion. The RX wouldn't hook up, power off the TX and RX and try again, nothing. I JUST flew this 2 minutes ago... nothing, repeat 3-4 time.... WHAT?!?

Turns out the wire to the satilite RX had come off! Evidently it let me confinue to fly and that explains the strage full kick off of the TJPro early in the flight (came back, I thought it was a hard bog). The AR7000 would NOT bind up with the TX after that!

Once I hooked up the satellite everything checked out just fine. I flew a full tank and the Titan was behaving quite well, very solid. except I think the Hyper's rear bearing is going.

Anyhow, bottom line - make sure your satellite receiver connection is solid and not going to shift! Mine is on the battery and it shifted a bit which is what caused the wire to come out.

Hot glue or goop the connector to both RX's.

I also do that on all my power connections and Extention connections.

I think it works pretty well and works as a strain relief.

Hope that helps,

JW

Hi jschenck

Just to clarify, did it unplug or did the wires break ?

Good feature

If the remote RX fails, then you can continue to fly, but it will not work the next time

The plug came out of the remote RX, I wired it a bit too tight and had it attached to the battery pack. It must have shifted forward during a flip which pulled the connector out of the satellite RX.

I agree, nice feature to allow me to continue flying but not bind up for the next flight.

I hot glue the connections as well and make sure there's a little give with the wire to the satellite.

Good to know about trying it after the disconnection.

... But honey it was only $$$
