Hello peeps, first post in a long while lol.

Ok simplish question but i need to get the metal part off my carbon tail rod which is E-Poxied in. I have tried boiling water and melting the epoxy, then pulling it off, but this does not seem to be working atall, I have even tried adding salt to the water to higher the boiling point.

Any suggestions?

Try to remove while hot. EPoxy softens like any other plastic when heated - to a point. To remove the glue once you get the part off, soak it in acetone for 24 hours and peel away.

I took it straight from boiling water and immediately tried removing. No play?

Leave it in some acetone overnight and you will be well pleased. It will easily come away with no risk of setting anything alight
Acetone= nail varnish remover

Just re-read your last post and realised youve just done it.
Sorry.
Not a bad tip for the future though
