I have a Hitec Optic 6 and I hear about people customizing there TX's to soot there comfort in flying. What would you suggest I could do to my TX in order to make flight easier. I kind of don't like the way the throttle stick is like a ratchet but I do like it because it hold the stick in place somewhat when turning the tail of the heli. What can I do?

I personally dont like the rachet and think as you progress you will find it more of a hinderence than a help. Your fingers will get used to holding collective while throwing the tail around. My thought on that is to learn right from scratch how you are going to fly in the end...

When I first began, I used training gear on the heli, and had a lot of expo on the cyclic.

Have fun and keep the rotor side up

It's not just good... it's good enough

Depending on your setup, put some expo (30-50%) on your cyclic - this will tame the beast down and make it easier to fly.

yeah i have 0 n it right now and I also have it so i can set flip the cyclic into d/r and only have 1/2 the function, but i was talking about the controller physically, I think i might remove the ratcheting on the throttle stick.

I don't know about your specific radio, but on most you can flip the ratchet spring over so the flat side rubs instead of the tooth. This gives some drag to the stick, so it doesn't flop around, but allows any position.

Yes, remove the ratchet. It will make finding that sweet hover spot much easier...

The ratchet sucks!!!
