Gonna buy 2 packs pretty soon today, just trying to decide which one. 3d flying, fight power 2070 or 2500?

any issues on fit or weight on the 2500?
I have some airthunders and they bigger but they do fit. Is this what im looking at for the 2500?

Is the 2500 gonna give me more punch?

The 2500's work great, I use both. Use the 2070 for a little less weight but that's the only difference. Obviously you should get a little more time out of the 2500.

It fits fine in the v2 canopy. I am not sure about the v1. So far I really like this battery a lot. If the Hitec gyro/servo, turns out to be good I could see using these batteries and trading the weight gain for a lighter gyro. I like how the t-rex flies around the stock weight.

That statement is just not correct. 30g is not a lot of extra weight. And it flies 3-d just fine. Hell, a Medusa motor weighs 30g more than the Align xl. The 2500 does give more consistent power throughout the flight. But saying all of that if I could trade the extra weight for a lighter gyro and stay around 740g, that would be great. Plus it is not so hard on the pack. My 2070 gets taxed pretty hard by the xl motor. My 2500 is noticeably cooler.

Hell, I flew 3d with my scale also. On my hardcore 3d bird. I prefer weight less better 3d, 3s 2070 max, I don't even thinking od 2200 mah lipo. You get extra 300mah and also 40 g heavy (correct me if I am wrong I weight my pack the 2500 pack is 224g the 2070 pack is 185g, both with out dean connect ) the extra amp will cover th3e extra weight on 2500 pack. How much extra flight time can u get then . Not much I guess.

I Thought you Guys were Talking abought the Evo light 2500, which weighs the same as the 2170 25C Pack. I have 2 of each. I also have 4 Thunder power 2070 Packs, that are 7-8 months old, and they don't compare to the 2170 Flight power. I'm still breaking in the 2500's

I use my 2500 FP packs for 3d as well as my 2070 TP extremes, can't really tell the difference other than the FP gives power longer. The weight isn't an issue.

I think with the weight issue it really depends on how you have the helicopter set up. If you are flying a stock v2 the weight is pretty good and I do not think you can really feel the extra 35 grams. But if you already have put in a heavier motor, separate bec, etc, at some point the weight is going to catch up.
